Yeshivat Siach Yitzchak, a hesder yeshiva in Efrat (Torah study combined with IDF service), blends deep Torah study with open dialogue about one’s inner world and society. Founded in 1996 by Rabbi Shagar and Rabbi Yair Dreyfus, its core aim was to foster spiritual searching, sincerity, and a true connection to Torah.
Now led by Rabbi Yair Dreyfus, Rabbi Dr. Noam Samet, and Rabbi Dr. Uri Lifshitz, the yeshiva has grown into a home for a wide range of religious students. Its learning draws on iyun, Chasidut, Jewish thought, and tefillah.
In addition to the full hesder program, we offer “Tzirufim” (for ages 24+), “Betorato Yehgeh” (advanced study), and “Nehalech BeRagash” (for married men and women studying Rabbi Shagar’s teachings). The Binah LeItim Institute works alongside the beit midrash to develop a new religious language and philosophical Torah writing, and to host ongoing dialogue among students, rabbis, and thinkers.
